Oops, I did one picture twice. My flowering crab has fire blite so Seth gave it a hair cut to hopefully save it's life. Keaton and Seth did a major clean up on the shop. Every evening in the winter I have the most beautiful site. King mountain gets this pink glow around it. Isn't that sensational!

Reed, no it's not plastic. It's a material that the water goes right through. It warms the soil and things grow twice as fast.

This is for Gabe. He's planting a garden and I wanted to show him how I make wide rows hilled up. You can plant ten times more crops this way. I just sprinkle the seeds all over the wide row then cover and twala it makes less weeds and more vegetables. Good luck Gabe!

We are having the worst spring in history I think. Yesterday at Chase's baseball game they had to pause a few minutes when a dust storm filled the air and you couldn't see a thing. I luckily sat in my car reading("The Proper Care and Feeding of Husbands," by Dr. Laura Schlessinger, which I highly recommend) watching and eating in full contentment. Chase played well but they lost. Keaton and Kelsey were in the windiest(sp?) place in the state, down by Burley. Kelsey said she was almost not moving when she ran against the wind.

We went to the cannery Thursday and beefed up our years supply. Tuesday I planted my cold weather crops, peas, beets, parsnips,onions, and carrots. My spinach is up and growing under the nice protection of a row cover. Seth is fertilizing his field today.

I had just started trying to fix Kelsey's hair and Stephanie's father brought her to our house so Chase would only have to make one trip to Howe, and luckily she took over and fixed Kelsey's hair.

Oops, Blake has been working on this car forever and his mom wanted a picture of Kelsey pushing it on prom night. We took this the next day after stake conference.

Prom night was a big deal around here. Keaton's friends didn't go so he went to EFY in Rexburg and had a big time. It cost us about $425.00!!! Can you believe that! Here are Chase and Stephanie Nickerson and Kelsey and Blake Vanetten.
